HALLE 14 created the scholarship programme firstname.lastname@example.org between Leipzig, Lyon and Birmingham partner cities to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of the city of Leipzig.
The first two fellows selected by HALLE14 will be in Leipzig from May 1 to July 31 in Hall 14, are Tom Castinel (www.tomcastinel.com) from Lyon (FR) and Ian Richards (www.heavyobject.com) from Birmingham (UK).
WERK are delighted to work in collaboration with Glenn Howells Architects on this residency. The research-based residency will support the artist to explore the city, public space, architecture and urbanism.
Sven Bergelt will be based in a studio and project space with Glenn Howells Architects, 321 Bradford Street, Digbeth from July – September 2015.
The project space will be open to the public at junctures during the residency - more news to follow.
